| Formally we are classified into 3 groups, `Mathematical Analysis', `Geometry and Algebra' and `Information'. We are identifying staffs who belong to two different divisions, `Department of Mathematics' and `Mathematics and Information (Graducate school of Science and Technology)' and sharing all our educational and administrative jobs. Above four classifications are required only in official documents. Basically, regardless of their group and their rank, each staff is independent and has his/her own research interests. Several mathematicians are in other divisions of Niigata University as well. They belong to the Faculty of Engineering and the Faculty of Education. |
