タイトル：Smooth factorial affine surfaces of logarithmic Kodaira dimension zero
with trivial units

アブストラクト：
In this talk, we study the family of smooth affine factorial surfaces
of logarithmic Kodaira dimension 0 with trivial units over
an algebraically closed field $k$. Our main result is that
the number of isomorphism classes of such surfaces is at least
countably infinite. This contradicts the earlier classification of
Gurjar and Miyanishi in 1987 which asserted that it has at most
two elements up to isomorphism when $k$ is the field of
complex numbers. Thus, the classification of surfaces in that classes
for the field of complex numbers, long thought to have been settled,
is an open problem.

This is a joint work with Gene Freudenburg (Western Michigan University)
and Hideo Kojima (Niigata University).
