Speaker: Séverin Philip（Kyoto University）

Title: Tangential base points and Oda's problem for cyclic special loci

Abstract: We will first start by explaining what are tangential base points 
for hyperbolic curves and how they produce different Galois actions that can 
be seen as good lifts of the canonical outer action. Afterwards we will introduce 
the cyclic special loci and the analogue of Oda's problem for these spaces. 
We will then see a solution to this problem in the case of simple cyclic special 
loci using the maximal degeneration method, which is based on the construction 
of explicit tangential basepoints.
